2 Days in Biryani Capital
Travelling is a passion for me from the very early days. This time we opted for Hyderabad.
1st day –
We were waiting for our prebooked train at the Vishakapatnam station for Hyderabad. That was an amazing feeling. Unfortunately, our train was late but, waiting for the train in the station was mostly interesting because on one side I was excited about Hyderbad and on the other side, I became hungry. I tried some local station foods. At last, the train came and we got on the train. It was night and we took our dinner which we already packed from Vishakapatnam. After dinner, everyone went to sleep but I still waked. I took the window seat for the amazing view of the lighted stations passing by & the fresh air. In this posture, when I went into sleep I could not remember.
2nd day-
In the next morning, we reached Hyderabad. Then we got out of the train and hired an auto to reach our pre-booked hotel. The hotel was nice and also quite cheap & the main thing is that I really liked the hotel room. As we travelled from so far, we were tired. So, we decided to take rest in the hotel. In the afternoon, we went to visit the Golconda Fort by rental car. In the way, I enjoyed the historical beauty and modern beauty of the city side by side. That was wonderful. But our rental car driver was not a good driver also a great guide. Then we reached the fort and after buying tickets, we entered the fort. It was a very big fort. We had to walk on a road made by woods like a bridge. Along with the walk, we saw one of the great architecture of the Kakatiya Dynasty. Then we entered the fort. There was also a beautiful green scenario with good maintenance. The mild breeze made the environment very perfect.
There were stairs which were heading towards the top of the fort. We climbed up but we could not go all the up but we tried our best. Though we could not reach the top, it was an amazing moment to see the city from that height also. After a few hours spent there, we returned to the hotel. In the way, we passed one of this fort’s huge gates. That night after lying down on the bed, I thought that nowadays we have various courses in Architecture and other things. We also have the support of all the modern science gifts like Craine, JCBs, Trucks, Cutters to help us for cutting the stones but in that old days how the persons could do such great job without any modern tools, it is really amazing.
3rd day-
It was a nice bright new morning. We also like charged by its light and heat. I was full of energy because for the all-day we were to visit India’s one of the biggest film city, where many of Bollywood’s biggest films were shot. Our cars came at the right time. I was very excited. As we moved towards the Ramoji film city I felt like a force filled in me. Every day at 9 am, a big carnival parade is organised there from its opening date. Unfortunately, we missed it. But the good thing is that we at least reached the film city. Then we went to the entry point and bought tickets. We took some foods as a big day was ahead of us in the film city. Then we took a bus to reach the main point of the Ramoji film city where the bus left us. The replica of the 7 wonders of the world was there also red buses like in London were standing there. It was a wonderful place where the game centre and a haunted house were present. At first, when I entered the haunted house I was in full of fear but then I enjoyed it. We had to cross a bridge made of wood there where snakes were hanged on the wall. After that, we entered the underground game centre.
Then we started our tour in the film city by riding the red bus & we were shown many sets.
Our 1st set was the Ramayana set when we got out from the set we saw some actors acting there as terrorists with the false guns. It was a quite funny and exciting experience. After that, we flew to the flow of Bollywood. We saw a garden there, where a song of “the dirty picture” film was shot. We also saw the home where Bibi no. 1 was shot. We also saw the house which was used in the film, Sooryavansham . Then we saw some building-like structures. Our guide said that those were used as the sets to shot the bomb blast shorts. After that tour bus left us to a place where many temple models were present. We visited that place & enjoyed a lot. I was amazed to see how they just replicated these ancient temples. After that, we took another bus which took us to our lunch area. Both veg and non-veg items were available there. I tried both. Lunch was really nice.
Then we were taken to another bus. I thought it was the end of our trip but It was only the beginning! We reached the part of the film city which was all about film and film making. We took a ride of the coster where there were many cartoon characters. Then we entered a conversation room where something was going on. We suddenly understood that it was the show where people demonstrates how visual and music effect were added to the film. There were some films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Royal Bengal Rahashya’ were shot. We watched ‘Sholay’. It was nice to see how visual and sound effects were added to a chasing scene and how the sound effects made by ordinary things made the scene extraordinary. They used things like sand, bucket and others.
After that, we entered a movie set where we saw a drama on the western theme. It was a nice drama where the hero saved both girl and his friend from some bad guys. Stunts were good. I was very energetic to saw such students in front of me. I felt I drove to it.
We saw some film statue also. we saw a petrol pump of old times we saw cars from old age in which controls were on the opposite side.
Then we rode another bus it took us to another place. It was a beautiful garden made of flowers and filled with butterflies. That place had a nice aroma within it. That was a wonderful sight to see such decorated flowers and a lot of flowers in one place. Then we entered into the Bonsai tree garden. The whole garden was filled with beautiful Bonsai plants.
Then we went to a cave-like a Buddha monastery. It was a very calm place
with beautiful statues.
Then we took the bus and that left us near at entrance it made our Ramoji film city visit complete. Then we came back to our hotel in a rental car. At the time of returning, I felt sad because our journey to Ramoji ended and also became happy to see one of the biggest film sets in India which produced the top Bollywood films.
Next day was the homecoming day. We boarded our home returning train in the Hyderabad station.
