Sikkim - from a traveler's Lens

The COVID 19 has made a severe impact on the tourism sector. Each player of this domain starting from a street vendor, hotel owner, car driver to tourist all of them affected badly. As a tourist, it did not spare me too. This disease has cut down 2 valuable years from my tourist calendar.   Anyhow, this year we successfully settled out a travel plan for Sikkim. When you hear the word 'Sikkim' - generally the words that come to your mind are 'mountain', 'buddha', 'ice'. In this journey, we experienced the first two ie. Our Travel was bounded up to SOUTH, EAST and WEST Sikkim. So, let's start the journey. It was 5th October - the commencement of our journey. Our train was from Sealdah station, - the heritage Darjeeling Mail. We had to spend the night on the train. The next day, in the morning, we reached NJP. We hired a car from there to reach Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. We were going through the NH 10. The best part of this route is it goes para

Kolkata - Journey to the City of Joy

It was becoming a boring life at home. The time came to go on another journey. But this time our travel does not begin far home or some famous place for tourism. As Tagore said, you are paying money and waste your time to see some waterfall that far from your house but you missed the beauty of sunlight that reflected from the first water droplet which is placed in a tree leaf near your house. This time I planned for going to visit that water droplet of mine Allinagar, mostly known as the City of Joy, one of the ancient cities of India, Kolkata. Some people say that this is a dying city but I completely see the different side. For me, it is the city of passion , city of heritage ,  city of architecture , city of food . You can enter the city on many routes. But the best is the road because in other cases, you'll miss the roadside memories. While entering through the road you will see different sheds of the city. -1st Day- Entering the city, we saw the Slum. I remembere

1 st Day    This time we opted for Vizag. With excitement, we left the house & reached the Howrah Jn. by boarding a local train. There we met our other tour partners. From there, we took the long journey train to reach Visakhapatnam. It was an overnight train journey & we reached there in the early morning of the next day. I was very excited because we were planning for this trip so long. At last, it was finally going to happen. I enjoyed the view of the train journey. It was a very nice scene to see the beauty of nature from moving train. At the train, I thought that we passed the Visakhapatnam during our journey to south India at least four times but I never imagined that this place had so much natural diversity in landscape and natural beauty to explore. This place is also filled with tourist spots. I became so excited to think that the place where we only took halts during our south India trips, finally I got a chance to explore that place and dug into its roots. Taking di

Travelling is a passion for me from the very early days. This time we opted for Hyderabad.    1 st day –    We were waiting for our prebooked train at the Vishakapatnam station for Hyderabad. That was an amazing feeling. Unfortunately, our train was late but, waiting for the train in the station was mostly interesting because on one side I was excited about Hyderbad and on the other side, I became hungry. I tried some local station foods. At last, the train came and we got on the train. It was night and we took our dinner which we already packed from Vishakapatnam. After dinner, everyone went to sleep but I still waked. I took the window seat for the amazing view of the lighted stations passing by & the fresh air. In this posture, when I went into sleep I could not remember. 2 nd day-   In the next morning, we reached Hyderabad. Then we got out of the train and hired an auto to reach our pre-booked hotel.  The hotel was nice and also quite cheap & the main thing is that I re
